Biography
My research program focuses on understanding the hydrological and biogeochemical processes that influence water quality and quantity dynamics across urban ecosystems. I integrate a wide range of environmental geophysical, geospatial, and modelling based methods to gain novel insights on hydrology and transport mechanisms across cities. Current projects apply a multi-scaled approach that includes regional studies of watershed hydrology and more localized investigations of heavily urbanized catchments. These studies aim to uncover how water mobilization and nutrient transport are related, and to better understand how urban ecosystems may respond to environmental change. My research program is designed to provide strategies to better manage urban water resources in the face of ongoing urbanization and climate change challenges.
