Earth Sciences professors featured in The Water Brothers

Several professors from the Department were featured in The Water Brothers, an eco-adventure documentary series.

Professor Miriam Diamond appeared in an episode titled The Forever Chemicals. Here, Miriam talked about her research on polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and their presence in numerous everyday products used by almost all Canadians.

Professor and Chair Sarah Finkelstein is one of many scientists that talked about the importance of peatlands in the ongoing climate crisis in an episode titled Breathing Lands.

Professor Barbara Sherwood Lollar and Assistant Professor Oliver Warr (previously a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department) were featured in an episode titled The World's Oldest Water. Here they talk about their discovery of a 2 billion year-old water in northern Ontario and the research that they have done with it.
