Environmental Science: Quaternary Paleoclimate Records

Quaternary Paleoclimate Records from the Hudson Bay Lowlands in Ontario’s Far North
Production of high resolution paleo-moisture and paleo-temperature reconstructions using biological proxies (pollen grains, testate amoebae, tree rings, or algae) or geochemical tracers (stable isotopes, etc), with implications for understanding paleogeography of the Laurentide Ice Sheet, sea level history and the climate of previous interglacials and interstadials.  This work would include field sampling in remote locations in Ontario’s Far North, and lab work at University of Toronto.
