The Geological Association of Canada (GAC) has named Professor Sandra Kamo the 2023 Logan Medallist. The Logan medal is the highest award in geology given in Canada and recognizes outstanding scientific contributions sustained over many years. Sandra is one of the world’s leading U-Pb geochronologists; Sandra’s scientific work has greatly advanced our knowledge not only of U-Pb dating but of fundamental geological processes. The impact of Sandra’s work, and that of the Jack Satterly Geochronology Lab she has directed since 2016, has been deep and wide. Below is a link to the GAC press release and the award citation.
